God IS Able!

So you know how I just posted a couple days ago, about how great my life is?  Well it still is but yesterday I received the sad news that my 2 best friends who are sisters, just found out their dad has cancer...  I love this family so much!  My heart has ached beyond words, as I have prayed, and wept on and off for the last 24 hours.  As most of you know, cancer is not a stranger to my family, and probably isn't to many of you.  I've blogged a lot about my mom's journey battling cancer, and yet little on my feelings about it.  I can only write as a loved one of a cancer survivor, and that is different from being a cancer survivor....  I suppose I feel the need to share some thoughts that are all my own  Every person deals with cancer differently.  First, for there was the numbing shock each time.  The self protective strong shell, followed by  the sudden tidal wave of emotion that hits when you are in a room by yourself.  It is tempting to think that somehow the world will somehow stop when a love one has cancer, but the world just keeps moving, but part of you is stopped....    Keeping busy is essential  .  Otherwise your mind can't rest.  Prayer is vital!  Friends are imperative   Things I held on too, were God does not sleep during the storm!  He sees, and He cares!   Mark chapter 4 1 Peter 5:7 Prov. 3:6
Remembering that others have faced such things, and seeking them out helped....  Accepting help when needed, and completing tasks.  Crying out to God, not with words, but with my heart!    Finding a positive escape...
Last and most important- Asking God to empower you, and help you love and trust him, through it all!  Remembering He sees your soul, and He's bigger!  He is able to rescue, no matter the trial whether it is cancer, or something else.  Even with the questions, it doesn't change his nature!  He is in the big picture, and the "small" details!  I don't believe God views things in large and proportions like we do, because to him all things are both big and small.  Verses that help me understand.  1 Peter 4:12 "  .   So while I hate cancer, and I hate that has affected so many people, I know God is able!  God's words says He knows how to rescue the Godly!  2 Peter 2:9  Please pray for my friends the Hand family!

Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you.

Some weeks are better than others

Hi Friends:

I don't like to post when I'm not feeling well or when it has been a tough week, which is why I have not been quick to post.  It has not all been bad, and isn't anything earth shattering bad either, but my body is tired,  I have a chronic problem that has a long namr which I can't spell.  It is a type of baterical acne that is very painful in places I will not mention.  I've had it for years it is hormone related..  I take antibotics about every theree weeks, and have had minor surgery to remove infected tissue.
On top of that I worked very late @ Choices, one day last week, and one of the other volunteers feelings wer hurt  by something connected to my aid, though I'm still not sure what the source of the hurt was, and while I usually have little trouble valadating someone's feelings, in this case, the fleshly side of me wanted to say life is too short to get your nose out of joint over junk.  I use to be one of the most senstive people alive, so to a degree I understand, but part of me just wanted to say please grow up.  I realized quicky this was prideful of me, and am asking God to help with my unrealistic expectations of other people.Thank God for medicine!  The happy highlights of my week were that I got to speak at Choices Shower last night, and I realize how I love speaking about Sanctity of Human Life.  I also had the most tasty grilled cheese burger  I've had in ages. I also found the coolest verse that I'll write about more later.Jer. 17:5-8Find it here!  I'm enjoying your comments please keep them coming!

Ladies Only! Men Beware!

Hello!

Well what a wild thing life is... I just need to have some girl talk with my female blogger. Sunday morning I woke up a true hormonal mess! By Sunday night I could not sleep, total mind racing episode tears, you name it I had it! Cold sweats and all . Some women have idea what I'm talking about, but I hope someone out there knows. Later in the week, a former caregiver, all but chewed me out on Facebook publicly. All this happened this week already, and there has been a RARE church conflict on Facebook. But there is a bright side always! God is not just not just in the big stuff, He is in the "small stuff too. I'm glad that unlike people God is so slow to anger, and abounding in real love! Romans 8:38-39 Check it out! I'm excited about my new blog followers. Don't let this post scare you off!

Pulling hair out! Venting!

Hello,

Warning there is no telling what this post may be about. I have been trying to send an e-mail out to over 100 people for 2 hours for my volunteer work. My email provider refuses to send the message, because it says it contains too many contacts. The ironic thing is, that only one contact has been added since the last mailing. It is an urgent prayer request that one of the volunteers/former staff asked me to send out ASAP.

It is time for the Walk For Life fundraiser and I have no clue how to involve my church in this, because there so much happening in the spring. I have been trying to meet with one of our church staff since Feb about personal matters without any family involvement which totally makes little sense now that I'm posting about it on a public blog. The truth is there are aspects of CP I hate, and I hate myself for that. I don't hate everything about in fact not even most things, but one thing I hate is the lack of control and privacy I have in my life. I hate that someone else has to know when I have to go to the bathroom, and that I can't do that by myself, but instead in that respect I am less than a toddler. I hate that the people who care for me have more control over my body than I do. I don't like to focus on these things, because it is self centered. I am healthy and for now mom is well! I am going to devote an entire entry to the wonders God has done in my life and the life of my family. For now, Lord please have mercy on me, and allow me to lay aside all the yucky stuff inside me I don't like that I cannot be left in the house alone, because there is a slim possibilty that the house might catch on fire and I cannot get out on my own. Okay all better.... Thank you all for indulging me, and my temper tantrum.
