You know sometimes I think the things we think we want and dream about are often more fun in minds and hearts, than they are in life, I mean like the saying says the grass is always on the other side. It is weird, but sometimes I find that unfulfilled dreams can often bring me more joy than the reality not matching up with me ideals. Maybe that makes me totally crazy, but it makes me fantasy world far richer.

Next topic... Rejection-If you have lived hardly any time at all, then I know you have faced rejection either real or imagined or both. You also know how great and humbling it is to be chosen. I remember when I was chosen by my peers in high school to be a senior court attendant. I tried to keep my cool, but inside I was soaring. There has since been a debate, as to why they actually voted for me, but if nothing else, it was God's gift to me. What joy there is in being chosen. We are wired with a longing to be chosen! I have been reminded afresh what the Bible tells us about being chosen. The Bible tells us that God CHOSE us, we did not choose him! It also lets us know in Eph 1 that because God chose us, he also favors us. It is cool as I think it must be true that God not only loves me, but he actually likes me too. I have plenty of people who love me, but I often wonder how much they like me lol. Do you know what a huge deal that is? The same is true for all who trust in Christ. Christ both likes and loves us! Oh how I need the Lord to remind me when the darkness is so very thick. Rest in the realty chosen ones!

I'd Rather Have Jesus!

Thank you so much for your kindness and compassionate response to me regarding my last post. I have saved your comments, and will read and reread these. Glenda, Thank you so for the verses. Beth, I feel your prayers. Val, Thank you for such love and grace. I feel so loved! Dee, you are amazing! It seems like you have a window to my soul! Thank you All! I have however decided to delete my former post, so it will not have any way of causing visitors to stumble, as we never know how what we write might cause others to give into some form of temptation.

I thank you for your prayers. I am doing better today. I would love to have some wisdom to share, but I'm in a learning process myself at the moment. Mom is in good spirits as always, we will know more on Tues. Jenn will be home Wed, can't wait! I will ask though, do you find that God sometimes uses music to minster to you when other means don't seem to get your attention? Update and Happy 4th!

Thank you for all your prayers for mom and family. We won't know the results of her biopsy or scan for a couple weeks. The scan didn't give her harsh side effects like before, so this an answer to prayer. The doctor says it will take a couple weeks to get over the biopsy. Thank you! I know a lot of my posts have consisted of this new development in our lives, I hope you understand. I will label the post, in case there are only ones or topics you wish to read.

Happy 4th! While mom has little energy she still wants to go to my Aunt's house tonight as usual. I am very thankful for those who serve our country to protect us. I am thankful for their families who sacrifice so much! As Christians we have more than one freedom to celebrate! Cancer Back, and Prov. 3:5-6

Hope all is well your way. We found out this week that my mom's cancer has returned. I don't know the extent of it yet. She is having a Pet scan on Thurs, and a surgical biopsy. I think I knew it was coming, and that is why my mood has been lacking. God has comforted me, and I know he will be faithful. I know we all have trials and we must cast our cares upon Christ. I do not know what you maybe facing in your lives, but I am reminded that we must not rely on our own understanding, but we must trust our God who understands all things! Prov. 3:5-6 Blessings,

From Bitterness to Thankfulness

Hi Gals:

Wow!!!!!!!!!!! So much to write. I want to begin with a thankful list. I know others do this weekly, but I want to do it now.

1. I''m thankful for God's grace upon my life I don't deserve to be his daughter, but I am.

2. I know it sounds funny, but I'm thankful God does not let me know what is going to happen before it does sometimes.

3, I'm thankful my stomach is intact today.

4, I'm thankful for a back up chair when my breaks down like today.

5. I'm thankful for running water, as I think about how Jenn doesn't have any.

6. I'm thankful for doggy kisses

7. I'm thankful my mom can get medical coverage.

8. I'm thankful my mom is here on earth.

9. I'm thankful my brother can go on the mission trip tomorrow.

10. I'm thankful for Michelle and the new bible study we are doing together called Me, Myself, and Lies

11. I'm thankful Jenn will be home in three weeks.

12, I'm thankful for Sandra Rose

13. I'm thankful for Dr. John Barber, and the depth of wisdom he has.

14. I'm thankful for the fact that sometimes long distance friendships really do work.

15. I'm thankful God is true to his promises. As you can see: I have endless reasons to choose thankfulness over bitterness!

I have been struggling with bitterness in life in general lately. It is amazing how when we choose thankfulness it transforms us, lifts us up. Christians most of all, have no shortage of reasons to be thankful. Does that mean I should go around pretending life is peachy all the time? No, the truth is there are days I wonder why in the world I am here? I often think wouldn't my life serve a greater purpose in heaven than here? I often feel out of place in this world. It isn't that there aren't wonderful things about this life, there are. Laughter joy lessons beauty, It's all here, but it is all perfected in heaven! It is tempting to think I am useless here. Yet I know God placed me here to glorify himself, and who I am to tell him otherwise. I am on the second of the new Bible Study, to be honest It hasn't really occurred to me much that God wants honor from my thoughts. My mom is having biopsies done, they found a spot, but the doctor things it's only scar tissue. Keep you posted. I've added some new music Jenn!

Be Real and Be Relaxed With God

"Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world" (Psalm 46:10 NLT).

Hurry is the death of prayer. If you rush through all your prayers, it will kill your prayer life.
I have a habit in my prayer life: before I pray any prayer, it is almost spontaneous that I take a deep breath. I just relax, settle down, and let go of any tension. Then, I'm ready to talk God.

So, when you pray, relax. Take a deep breath and try to forget anyone or anything that's around you and just focus in on God for a minute. Calm yourself down and get still: "Be still, and know that I am God!" (Psalm 46:10 NLT).

Jesus sat in Martha's house, but she was so busy, she couldn't stop to talk to Him and enjoy His company. Jesus said, "Martha, Martha! You are worried and troubled over so many things, but just one is needed. Mary has chosen the right thing, and it will not be taken away from her" (Luke 10:41-42 TEV). Mary chose to relax at the feet of Jesus, listening to him while "Martha was distracted" (Luke 10:40 NIV).

Be real and relaxed, "Go to your room, close the door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what you do in private, will reward you" (Matthew 6:6 TEV).

NEW Begining and Relationship effort

Hope your weekend is going well! Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging comments! I am doing well. Summer always seems to lift my spirits! I am so excited also, because my friend Jenn who comes home July 14th. Jenn is an amazing friend! I learn so much about what a Christian should be from her, and we laugh, and she is so much fun to be with! Please pray for her as she leaves Nepal and returns to America, that God will pour his love on her like never before! I want all of you to know how much it means to have blogger friends like you!

Mom is out of town for the day in Kentucky for a surprise party! It amazing to think about just a year ago, I wasn't sure she would live let alone be taking a trip! My heart overflws with thankfulness to my God! He truly heard my prayers, I have no promise that her cancer won't come back, but I am beyond thankful God has given her his healing! Sorry I guess it just hit me afresh! By the way, did you know that having an ongoing relationship with God, takes effort on our part? Hear me here, I'm not referring to a works based doctrine. What I am writing about is found in Hosea 6:3 Let us strive to know the Lord." HCSV) WWW.crosswalk.com We are of course saved by Grace Alone, which is something that overwhelms me! We must strive however to know the Lord to deepen our relationship with him, as well as our knowledge of him! We aren't surprised to know that sometimes our relationships with others take effort, but to be honest, I am not always willing to make the effort to deepen my relationship with God. The Creator of the Universe, made the greatest effort in all of history to pursue a relationship with me and you, and yet at times ladies, even this; is not enough to motivate us to put fourth the effort to pursue him. Okay this is from God, not me, because it is convicting me lol. We are redoing my bedroom, and it is like a new start for me. I won't give details as I want to surprise Jenn, but once she sees it, I'll post pics. Speaking of pics. Here are a few of baby Jackson and family. Covered by His Blood Warfare, and waiting!

Hello There:

       I am still in the blogging world!  Hope you guys are well!  I apologize for my absence from your blogs and my own.  You may have heard me say before that I've had some battles with depression/anxiety.   While I only had a few blue days this time, it was kind of  disappointing after the progress the Lord has given to me.  This time was different, I felt it was more spiritual attack than anything else.  I know it is not popular to say in this culture that there is Spiritual Warfare, but after speaking with my pastor and one person I greatly trust, I am convinced that it is biblical to believe spiritual warfare is in fact a real thing!  Please don't misunderstand, I don't mean I am demon possessed or anything.  In fact, I want to remind all that Greater is He that is in us than one who is in the world.  Paraphrase of 1 John 4:4  You see to be frank I let my guard down spiritually.  I got lazy and indifferent, apathetic.What I really got too comfortable, and it began to cause me to be prone to attack, but in recent days I have been reminded that Christ has secured the victory for me!  His blood covers me, and therefore God's eternal judgement passes over me, because my soul is covered by the blood of Christ!!!!!!!!!!   Wow!  What would it be like if we truly took hold of that truth!    

      I have been waiting for some time for God to restore a broken realtionship in my life.  I want something to happen, but clearly has  said to me you are to wait and pray.  My response has been Lord I'm tired of waiting and praying for something to change, but the truth is, I am called first to obey, and trust God has heard my prayer and will act in His time!   Are you tired of living an unfulfilled dream, or tired of waiting for God's healing hand?  If you are, I hope like me you will pour out your heart to your Abba Father, and ask him for hope and comfort as you wait upon our Great and Mighty God!!!!

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST From Jenn

    Hope you are well.  Sorry it has been a bit since I've been by, I'll talk more about that later, but rigjht now, I want to post an urgent pray request from Jenn in Nepal.  Most of you know about my friend Jenn, but if you don't let me know.  I'm pasting her most recent blog here.  Thank you!

ey guys. I had planned for my next post to be a copy of my latest May prayer letter which I just sent out in case you do not get my prayer letter saying the direction God is taking in my next steps-- but for now I am going to wait on that because I have a prayer request for you.

I am not sure how to write this so you guys wont worry, but I wanted to make sure to post something so you can pray, share with others to pray, and for you to know that we are ok in case you catch the news ( i bet you don't like when I start things out like that)

Today started out as a very normal day in church. I was super excited because Johnny, one of the team leaders from the team from liberty was going to preach and I have heard He is an awesome speaker. We were in the middle of singing How great thou art when I noticed someone come in and get Shyam. I did not think much about it until someone that I did not know with a motorcyle helmet who looked very obviously shaken came to the microphone. They stopped singing and in nepalee he shared that He was a member of the Catholic church up the road and the church had just been bombed and He was coming to warm the churches. Then He went on to say that other bombs had been planted in area churches. He was very obviously shaken up. He went on to say they believed that a Hindu extremist group had planted bombs targeting Christians. I must admit that is when my heart began to race and I begin to feel fear. But as quickly as that came, then an AMAZIING peace filled my soul. This is when your faith becomes real. In a moment like this you must decide is What I believe worth it? Is who i believe in worth it? You read about this in books-- but in a moment like this you must decide.

In that moment I decided without a doubt YES. What I believe is worth it. Who I believe in IS worth it. God is real and so is my faith. I had such a peace flood my soul. Shyam came to the microphone and we began to pray for those that were at the church. Then we continued singing How GREAt thou Art (in nepalee) In that moment again I could truly SAY HOW GREAT THOU ART-- that I serve a God who is Real and true and the only God who can make sense out of tragedy. I was amazed to see the reponse of the church as we continued worshipping. Then Johnny got up to speak and give His sermon (hard to give under these circumstances huh!) I will never forget His sermon. It was about 5 minutes worth before we had to stop-- but He read from 2 Thessalonians 1: 3(B) We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers,[a] as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing. 4Therefore(C) we ourselves boast about you(D) in the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith(E) in all your persecutions and in the afflictions that you are enduring.
The Judgment at Christ’s Coming 5This is(F) evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be(G) considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are also suffering— 6since indeed God considers it(H) just(I) to repay with affliction those who afflict you, 7and to grant(J) relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when(K) the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven

He was about to expound on this when the police came and said for safety we must end the service. We ended with a quick hymn and dispersed. I was again amazed at the peace God provided.

It turns out the bombs that went off int he catholic church killed a 14 yaer old friend of one of our church members, a 30 year and injured many others. I had just met one of the catholic priests from there at a wedding wedensday. He is badly injured with His face partially blown away. Please pray for all of those involved. Please pray for those that committed this act. It is unconfirmed yet if other bombs were found, but no others went off praise the Lord. I truly believe God protected our church and it's people. All of this happened hours before another new comm*unist leader was inagurated as prime minister.

God is on the move here, and Satan is mad. But we know that we are ON the WINNING team.
We finished out a normal day. we went on with a planned soccer outreach with the liberty team. I know God got great glory as the liberty studetns shared the gospel with the team at 1/2 time. God is the victorious one. I am so glad that I have a faith in a God that is REAL.
Please continue to pray for nepal, those who were at the church today and for all the christians here. And please DON'T worry!

Don't wanna be a "Fast Food" kinda whorshipper"!

    I know it's rare I'm back so soon.   Do you ever find yourself wanting to write, but can't seem to make the writer in you come out?  I went to One Blessed Nana's blog today, and was so ministered to.  The title of her blog is: instrument For His Glory, and the title of the entry is: Is prayer Suppose to Be Hard?  I wonder how we each honestly would answer that question at different seasons in our lives?  

I was reading in Exodus today, when Moses went to tell the Israelites that God had heard their cries for deliverance from the Egyptians.   Their first reaction was to bow down in worship that their prayers had been heard.  This is of course what their response should have been, but before we applaud them, remember that a chapter later, they are confronting Moses and blaming him, for making their hardships worse.  What happened to them since they bowed in worship, and now their short lived act of worship has shifted, to an outlook of gloom.  Before I pounce on the Israelites, I need to look in the mirror, because I'm no different.   Some days, no sooner have I left a worship service where I truly worshipped, have I found myself complaining about something, or bowing down to worship the idols of pride or indifference or laziness.  Sometimes on the hand, I could learn a lesson from God's people, because even though they wavered, their first response was still worship, which is often more than I offer.   The Israelites wanted deliverance only if it came without struggle or suffering, they didn't understand that in the hardships they would see God's wonders and glory like they would not otherwise.   I have to tell you, I don't want to suffer, and hurt, and often I'm more concerned with deliverance from hardships than knowing God better or seeing God's glory.  I don't want to be a person of shallow or short-lived worship, but I have a long way to go, as I've been rather shallow.  In this country, we thrive on "quick fixes".  I love fast food, and I am bad about not waiting for food to cool, and burning my tongue.  I don't want to be called a fast food worshiper, or a shallow worshiper.  May God help us be true worshipers."   I'm preaching to myself, but can you relate?  Please go by and visit one blessed Nana, she has a great blog! www.instrumentforhisglory.blogspot.com

He remembered us in our weakness.

         His faithful love endures forever.   

We were and are being pursued by God's faithful love, even our weakness.  He is All Knowing, and He does not forget He chooses us in our weakness!  That is something to be thankful for!  When everyone else forgets us, God Remembers us!  He Remembers you!  He loves us faithfully!   Thank you all for remembering my blog!

A birthday,A baby coming, Prayer request, and a delight filled promise!

       Can I just say first I'm loving the weather we had in Chattanooga lately, It has been in the low to mid 80's.  I love sunshine!  Can I also ask you all to pray for my friend Sandra who has been dealing with chronic pain for more than 8 years, and doctors have yet to be able to relieve it for any length of time.   She is in need of relief, comfort and hope, and is seeking God for his purpose in all of this!  She is an amazing encouragement to me, and a woman who loves God and others.  

    My family is celebrating my 26th Birthday tonight, even though it isn't actually my birthday until Wed.  I am totally fine with that as mom will take me out on Wed.  My little cousin Jackson will be born tomorrow, as they are doing a C-section.  Brady who you've seen in some of my pics, will have Jackson Graham as his little brother.  I'll post phots at some point, if I can.  

     I am going to share something with you that rocked my world recently.    The Lord delights in me!  I use to wonder what that was all about, when people said it, but this week, I found that to be true within his word.  Psalm 18:19 "He brought me to a wide open place; He rescued me because He delighted in me."  My friend Jenn use to talk about this a lot, but I admit I never really understood the whole concept of God delighting in us, but this truth comes right from the bible.   God rescued each of us, not because we deserved it, but because He created us, and chooses to delight in us!  The reality that God personally delights in us, should cause us to know we have great worth, and motivate us to make him our greatest delight!  I'm still soaking up the wonder and joy  that comes from this!  Since God,and Christ delight in you and me, we can have freedom and joy in living for Christ!  He delights in you today and always!  He cherishes you!  Need proof?  Look to the cross and the empty tomb, and you will know he delights in you!

2 posts in one day?? Remembering Columbine....

Hello,

    Just had something I wanted to write, but please also look @ my other post too.  10 years ago today there was a national tragedy,  but even more so a personal one for those @ Columbine High school.  I will not forget that day.  I will not forget the pain I felt for those students and their families.  I will not forgot that they were, and are the same age as me.  I will not forget the tears I shed over their personal loss, and how impacted me, it was then that I came to understand the importantance of love and compassion, even today as I think upon what happened my heart aches, even though I never met those who lost their lives, or their loved ones.   That day, and that pain I will not forget.    I remember not long after that my own high school got a threat, but thankfully, it was only a similar threat.  Mom didn't want me to go to school that day, but I did.  In fact, it was the one day I felt nearly compelled to go.  I know there have been massive school shootings since, and my heart mourns for all.  I remember though that evil will never win and God heals the broken and makes them beautiful for his name sake!  Has there been one or more tragedy that may not have touched you directly, but has touched you nonetheless?

I cannot believe it has been 2 weeks since I posted concert pics. The concert was wonderful! Stephen Curtis Champan is such a blessing, and God has just upheld him and given him and his family such grace. They are building a orphanage for children with Special Needs in China in memory of their daughter Maria. Michael W. Smith led an amazing second half with worship. When we sang healing Rain mom & I were just beaming as we thought about God sent sent his healing rain upon her. He also talked about God being the Father you've looked for all your life, which is something I've never heard him talk about before. He reminded us how God is our Abba Father, as he talked I must have prayed that whole time, as I just longed for the reality to permeate my soul. Don't get my wrong, I know lots of children grow up without dad's in there every day lives. It isn't the end of the world, especially when you have an amazing mom like mine. But at times there is a real desire for the void to be filled. It touched me so much to know God desires to fill the longing in my soul! It was great to see MWS again. I find myself amazed at his love for the Lord, and thinking if only I could live solid out for Christ like you. I know he has his failures, but He knows who he is in Christ, and He knows how to be a servant. I left that concert feeling blessed, excited, humbled, free, and yet wanting to have the fullness I see in him through Jesus!

Easter was good. I recently read the story of Thomas, and how he doubted Jesus had risen and appeared. I often think my name should have been doubting T.J., because I doubt almost anything, even my own words and motives. Jesus could have rebuked Thomas, but instead Jesus met him where he was! He deemed Thomas valuable enough to dwell among him. Once Thomas personally encountered Jesus that was enough. Jesus called him, and he answered! Jesus declared that Thomas believed, because he had seen, but blessed were those who believed though they had not seen. My paraphrase, sorry I would write out the verses, but my caregiver will be here soon. The thing is we must change the way we think of seeing when it comes to Jesus. God wants us to have a personal encounter, but that might include seeing him not with physical eyes, but through the eyes of faith! So, I guess there is one question left. Have you "seen" Jesus lately?

We don't like to think about our sin, but I am discovering that when I sin it grieves God's heart. That brings to light a new of looking at sin doesn't it? It isn't just about removing our guilt, or avoiding punishment, it is about not wanting to hurt or grief the very heart of the Living God! When we confess and repent by God's power, we not only free ourselves. but we honor God! I admit I don't grieve over how my sin and how it grieves God, the way I need too. We have all mourned over changes or lost loved ones, but I wonder if we remember the last time we mourned over our sin. Don't misunderstand because of Jesus, we don't need to mourn over sin to the point that we overlook the victory that is ours, but we need to remember that our victory cost Jesus his life, and it cost the Father his Son! Under the weather....Thankful still!

Hope you are well. Thank you for leaving messages for my friend Jenn! For those of you who don't know she is a "mesenger" in Nepal. I admit I have not feeling well since last week. I am just worn out and can't seem to rest enough, and have a sore throat and stuffy head. I just wanted post and say I've not forgotten about you all. God is showing how to be thankful in all things! I am thankful that my Bible Study group prayed for me at church, even though I did not ask. I'm thankful for time spent with my amazing mom. I'm thankful for a good AAA prayer meeting this past Tue. I"m thankful Easter is near! I'm thankful you read my blog even though my writing has not been the best lately. My question to you tonight is: What is a new or recent blessing you are really thankful for?

Boy I've missed blogging! The ladies day was wonderful I wish I could post a video for you all, but one I don't have one and two I would not begin to know how. God taught more through preparing for the event than anyone could have ever learned from me. The theme verse for the day was Isa. 26:3 "You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you." It was healing for me to talk about my struggle to finding peace, and God's faithfulness to provide me with his peace. The Lord gave me 5 keys to funding peace. These are:
1st Key We must enter into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, in order to have peace with God. John 3:18, Romans 10:9, Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23.
2nd Key to peace---Acknowledge that Christ is the only true source of peace. Isa. 9:6 John 14:27.
3rd Key to peace... Surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Col. 3:15. Something the Lord showed me that every step we take toward total surrender, brings us one step closer to God's perfect peace
4th Key Abide in Christ and develop an honest prayer life. John 15, Ps. 51.
5th Key Get rid of envy and bitterness. Eph. 4:31 So in case you wanted a bit of a recap here it is.

Anyway I was very humbled by the response of the ladies at my church. I'm currently doing a bible study called pray in faith. As you reflect on your journey with the Lord, do you find that you learn more about God's nature through your trials?
The title is because there is a lot I'd like to post, but wasn't sure what would end up being posted. It's good to read your blogs again. My mom did amazing on her testimony. Macy had surgery today. We just love her! She hopefully will recover very soon as it is routine. Thanks for reading!

It's Friday! Tomorrow is Valentine's Day. I wonder if there those out there who dread Valentine's day??? I know in the past I have, but today my best friend Jenn sent me the sweetest v-day card, and it just made my day! Do you know that you have something grand to celebrate, not just on Valentine's Day, but every day? Do you know that there is someone who loves you more than life itself? If you are like me you may forget. Close your eyes, and ask God to remind you, how deeply you are loved! Do you see it? Can you feel it? I see a baby in a manger, and a blood stained cross, and I see the stone rolled away! Christ has made us objects of his love, says Angela Thomas in her Bible Study Wallflowers Dance. Romans: 5:8 is such a special verse to me as God used it to minster to me 2 years ago on Father Day. "But God Demonstrates his own loves for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Think about it, God proved his love for you and me, by offering his Beloved Son Jesus! God's love is so great and so wide that nothing and no one can take it away from those the love he has offered to those who follow him. I don't know about you but I believe that is a love worth celebrating! It's worth talking about singing about, and telling others about! He proved he loves you with his very life, and we can celebrate that daily, not just on Valentine's Day! It is a love that does die or wilt over time! Catch you all soon. Thanks for your prayers!
